Here are some recent photos of England (where we went for a short and extremely expensive holiday) and Scotland (where we went for an even shorter one) and Malaysia (where we normally are most of the time)  They cover one year in time - 2008

A family photo taken in January  this year when Nafisah visited

Rashid looking very smart in his executive clothes with Nafisah who doesn't meet up with him very often

Taken on my Birthday 25th December 2007

Nafisah with her cat which she doesn't see much of since Majkat (yes, that's her name) lives with us

Rashid ecstatic on his Birthday 28th February 2008

After 20 years of performing in Malaysia we finally got on mainstream television albeit at 1.30 am.  Here's us
with the members of the backing band, the Sharin Band who really were excellent (pre-recorded)

over the street and have beams

Jeremy Turner amazing wood carver and violin player - we meet up in June 2008 in UK after about 25 years
He played violin on my first "album" called "Young & Foolish" in late 70s

Old friends from Kilburn Housing Co-op, NW London. left to right: Phil Davies, Mar, Nafisah, Tim Owens,

Where have all the drinkers gone?  This could be the cover of the next Floyd album

Or this?

While we were in UK in June
with Nafisah, we spent 3 days in Scotland , staying with the family of
author, scholar and churchman Michael Northcott.  We would like to thank them all most profusely  for their
kindness and hospitality.  His daughter Lydia (in pic above) came with us on our trips to Loch Lomond and
Perthshire.  She acted as tour guide for which we are grateful.  She also brought along her son Jacob (see
pic below)

No bull - or rather beatnik cattle

Enough said (how's your relationship going?) ... we stopped for refreshment at the Pass of Killecrankie

Back in Edinburgh, on a steep crag of a hill called Arthur's Seat, an example of wild - or rather tame life

Arthur's Seat with Edinburgh in background (no high rise!)

Sir Walter Scot Memorial, Edinburgh Princes Street.  Looks dark and medieval and a bit cruel

The Castle - undwarfed by high rise blocks. Jacob in the foreground, and Mar further back

Misty Mountains - or the truth about Scotland

Back in sunny, sweltering air-conditioned Malaysia, Rashid performing as sessionist for Kyoto Protocol
Thanks, maybe see you in the New Year
